Federal Government is to set up a committee of all stakeholders in the power sector to resolve challenge of low gas supply to generation companies which is currently responsible for poor power supply in parts of the country
The committee is expected to come up with appropriate recommendations that will tackle problem of gas supply and liquidity in the sector
As part of quick win solutions, Ministers of power and that of state, petroleum resources are to work out template to prioritize gas to power so as to improve electricity supply nationwide
On issue of indebtedness to generation companies by the Nigeria bulk electricity trading company, Federal Government says it is working on revalidating the debt and determine a fair resolution
A statement by the Minister of power, Adebayo Adelabu also states that the Minister is not against payment of subsidy for electricity as reported in some sections of the media
