The house of representatives has lifted the suspension on the production and issuance of new number plates and drivers license it imposed on the FRSC.
This followed the adoption of the report on the public hearing on the issue.
The house after a clause by clause consideration of the report of the committee on FRSC on the new number plates and drivers license approved all the eleven recommendations of the committee.
Among which is the reduction of the costs by twenty percent.
Both the House of Representatives and the senate had directed the FRSC to suspend the issuance of the new number plates and drivers license following complaints by Nigerians on the cost and desirability of the projects.
Both chambers conducted public hearings on the issue where stakeholders made presentations.
