The Governor of Cross River State Senator Bassey Otu has approved total ban commercial of motorcyclists activities in the state capital-Calabar metropolis.
However, the governor in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary Emmanuel Ogbeje notes that any person wishing to use motorcycle to earn decent business are restricted only to remote areas away from the city center as anyone caught going against the directive will have the motorcycle impounded and offender prosecuted
This directive, the statement adds is after the governor’s consultation with key security chiefs in the state and in line with the governor’s desire to keep the state state safe and secure.
In a related development Governor Bassey Otu has advised people vandalizing public amenities like street lights,lamp posts and traffic lights to desist forthwith as culprits will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
