The late Alh. Ado Bayero, was born on the 25th of July, 1930. A former ambassador to Senegal ascended the Kano Emirate throne since 1963. His half brother Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi was dethroned and Muhammad Inuwa who succeeded Sanusi only reigned for few years.
Ado Bayero’s reign was the longest in the history of Kano Emirate. He had earlier worked as a bank clerk for the British Bank For West Africa after which he won a seat in the Northern Regional House of Assembly in 1954.
Alhaji Ado Bayero also joined the Kano Native Authority which he headed in 1962. He died on the 6th of June 2014. Edited by Edino Justice
