Senate Laments Abuse of Federal Character Principles

Senate President David Mark has expressed concern over the flagrant violation of Federal Character Principles in the Civil Service and advised the Federal Character Commission to redress the situation in the best interest of the Nation. He states this after the confirmation of President Jonathan’s nominees for appointment as Chairman and members of the Commission by the Senate. The planned briefing by the Service Chiefs as well as the Minister of Aviation could not hold.
