Jonathan Meets with Polish Prime Minister

President Jonathan played the good host with First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan as they recieved Prime Minister Tusk and First Lady Malgorzata. With their two countries casting off recent history in communism and military rule respectively to flourish in democracy. Honours in gun salutes and inspection of mounted guards prevailed for the visitors.
Indoors, President Jonathan and Prime Minister Tusk had their delegations for talks against the backdrop of their significant roles in the European Union on one hand and ECOWAS on the other hand. The cordial relations that have thrived between the two countries especially in the economic sector were emphasized at the joint press conference. They underscored the need to promote educational and cultural exchanges. They also discussed the situation in GB, Mali and the Sahel and agreed on urgent reform of the UNSC.
UPDATE: Nigeria and Poland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a Mechanism for strategic dialogue. It is a precursor to instituting a Bi-National Commission between the two Countries with long ties in maritime trade and training of Nigerians there. It is the highlight of Bi-lateral talks between President Jonathan and visiting Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk.
