Kano State Government Will Not Tolerate Poor Treatment to KSCHMA Enrolees in Their Health Facilities

Kano State Government Under the Leadership of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf will not tolerate poor treatment to KSCHMA enrolees in their health facilities.

The statement was made by the Executive Secretary Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency Dr. Rahila Mukhtar during the unscheduled inspection visit to some KSCHMA engaged facilities last Thursday.

She said that the purpose of the inspection was to assess the level of the implementation of the State Contributory Healthcare scheme in the facilities in order to improve it and to ensure effective service delivery and to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the State.

The facilities visited include Kura General Hospital, Sani Marshal PHC, Gafan Clinic in Bunkure LGA and Soft care Hospital a private hospital in the State.

In Kura General Hospital, the Executive Secretary expressed dismay on the poor environmental hygiene, lack of essential drugs in the pharmacy and mismanagement in the scheme implementation.

She said the committee will be set up to checkmate the problems and come up with the solution for the benefit of the enrolees and the general public.

In Gafan clinic,Sani Marshal PHC and Soft care Hospital she urged them to redouble their effort and ensure proper record keeping, provision of good and qualitative drugs to the enrolees and good environmental hygiene for the smooth running of the scheme.
