Ramadan New Moon

The sultan of sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has asked Muslims to look for the new moon of Ramadan 1444AH on Wednesday 22nd of March, 2023.

A statement signed by the chairman of, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, sultanate council,sokoto, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu says Wednesday 22nd is equivalent to the 29th of sha’aban 1444AH and the day to look for the new moon.

The statement requests the sighting of the new moon to be reported to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to the sultan.
