Governor Sani Bello Building Bida’s Ecological Problem

Abdullbergy Ebbo, Minna: The administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has swung into action regarding serious ecological problems across the 25 local government areas of the state.

The move which has started with the completion of five bridges and dredging of some water ways in Bida, will directly enhance human and vehicular operations within and around Bida, and consequently boost socioeconomic activities in the area.

Ecological problem in Niger state is as old as the state itself, bringing, especially during the rains, untold and indescribably pitiable situations upon inhabitants, leaving behind tales of waste and devastation, upon their homesteads and farms.

Water they say will always find its level, especially when not properly and conscientiously channelled. The bridges that are already completed will change the story regarding operations of pedestrians and vehicle owners, particularly during heavy rain falls.

But the challenge is being picked already, and the administration has lined up the projects to be executed in phases, across the remaining councils of the state, in batches as cash and finances accrue.

The bridges and other ecological related projects which are fast taking shape across Bida are:
1. Landzun Culvert – Ongoing.
2. Nasarafu Culvert – Completed.
3. Drainage along esso road, left hand side from NSTA garage to cirico Culvert -Completed.
4. Right hand side from Aisha house to cirico Culvert – Completed
5. Banwuya Junction to Back of BCC Bakery -Completed

The aforementioned projects are prove that the governor has only one business in Niger state: attending to needs of the people.
