Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission Awards Governor Bindow of Adamawa

Gov of Adamawa state, Sen Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, has been awarded Pilgrims Governor of the Year Award by the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission.

According to the statement issued by the SA Media and Publicity to the Governor, Macauley Hunohashi, the award was Presented at a Dinner and Award Night ceremony in Abuja, Tuesday.

Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev Dr. Uja Tor Uja, said “the Governor of Adamawa State is blind to religious bigotry.

He renders all the needed support and makes sure that our Christian Pilgrims are safe and happy while in the holy land. That is why we are honouring him tonight.”

In addition to that award which is in the category of Outstanding Support to Pilgrims Award, Adamawa State was also awarded the “Best Behaved State Contingent Award” in the category of Pilgrimage Support State.

Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Adamawa State, Abubakar Hamman (Habu Wadu), who received the awards on behalf of the Governor and people of Adamawa State, told journalists in an interview that this kind gesture will embolden the Governor to do more for Christian Pilgrims.

He said Governor Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has compassion for the people of Adamawa State and will continue to provide basic infrastructure in line with campaign promises and social contract with the people
