Minister of State for Mines & Steel Dev. Hon. Bawa Bwari Urges AMAC to Invest in Solid Minerals

The Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development Hon. Abubakar Bawa Bwari says that the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) can set up investments in the solid minerals sector through the AMAC Property and Investment Company.

The Minister stated this when the Chairman of AMAC, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido and his team paid him a courtesy call in his office on Wednesday.
Bwari said the Council can identify its area of interest in the mining sector and partner with local or foreign companies of like minds to actualise it.
He said the Ministry is ready to partner with any serious investor in the industry.
The Minister commended the Chairman and his team on their role in leading people at the seat of power in Abuja which comprise the elite and the rural communities. He said their position in the FCT is unique and sensitive because it is always difficult for people to differentiate between what belongs to FCTA and AMAC. He then encouraged them to be creative, innovative and use their wealth of experience to succeed during their tenure.
Earlier, the AMAC Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido said they were in the Ministry to explore areas of partnership between the Ministry and the Council. He used the forum to introduce the AMAC Marshal, a subsidiary of AMAC Property and Investment Company which is headed by a Marshal General, Mr. Isyaka Kasim Chicha.
According to the Chairman, the AMAC Marshal is a security and revenue generation outfit and solicits the Ministry’s patronage for the services of the Council and the Marshal.
