The minister of power, works and housing Babatunde Fashola has tasked the Nigerian electricity regulatory commission to be firm and fair towards implementing rules and regulations guiding the sector.

2,000 NCE Teachers Graduated In Kano

Kano governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says by the end of 2017 all unqualified basic education teachers will become professional teachers through the government’s teacher upgrade programme and in-service training opportunities.

The governor stated this at the graduation of two thousand NCE in-service teachers, post graduate diploma in teaching and bachelor in education.

He said his administration has understood that an educated population is an asset.

Ganduje said education cannot be impacted well if there is absence of train-the-trainers programmes, maintains that despite the economic challenges facing the nation, construction of more schools by the state government is on-going

 

Police Panel Recovers 111 Million Naira

Police joint investigation panel into rivers state re-run election says it has recovered one hundred and eleven million naira from indicted electoral officers, security agents and politicians.

Chairman of the panel, deputy commissioner of police, Damain Okoro stated this while presenting their findings to the inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris at the force headquarters.

VP President Osinbajo At PFN Conference

Acting president Yemi Osinbajo has expressed dismay over the continued religious conflicts in the country stressing the need for unity and peace among the people.
