Customs To Clear Unwanted Checkpoints On Borders, Warns Importers

The agreement was reached in Cotonou, at the bilateral meeting between the Customs Administrations of Nigeria and Benin Republic.

In a related development, the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted 16 containers at Apapa Sea Port in Lagos, falsely declared as paper board and machinery, but discovered to contain car tyres.

Comptroller General of Customs, Colonel Hameed Ali, while inspecting the consignment re-affirmed the service’s resolve to fight corruption.
