River State will give maximum support to FG to achieve Ogoni Clean-up ~Gov Wike
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike says the state will give maximum support to the Federal Government to achieve its aim of the Clean-up of Ogoniland.
Describing Presdient Mohammadu Buhari as the man of his words for keeping his promise that he will clean up the Ogoni land of all environmental pollution, Governor Wike says River state government will give it’s maximum support.
On the timelines on the activities, governor wike says, ” I welcome federal government sincerely, it is at time we preside over the affairs of the state, so am quite happy over that.”
At the request of the federal government of Nigeria, the United Nations Environmetal program,UNEP conducted an independent accessment of the environment and public impact of oil contamination in Ogoni land in the Niger delta as option for remidiation
