Emergency! Saving The Nigerian Maize
Inaugurated on April 3 – 6th 1991 in the Ancient Ibadan City, Maize Association of Nigeria, MAAN came to be to develop a virile seed industry for Nigeria.
Maize is the most logical crop and the most widely grown cereal in Nigeria. It is also the best cash and food crop cereal in terms of adaptability, wide spread for food and trade for farmers.
The maize association of Nigeria has accedes to a request by the ministry of agriculture to come up with a blueprint on how to end scarcity of maize, ensuring its security and market stability.
The association at its national executive council meeting in Abuja discussed the policy direction to be forwarded to government for consideration.
Tunji Adenola, National President, MAAN, spoke that these steps is taken to make policies that will control and forever cub the problems of Maize Scarcity in the country.
