Senate To Engage The FG In Finding Sustainable Ways To Improve The Welfare Of Nigerians

One hour five minutes executive section proceeded senate plenary after the legislative resume from a twelve day break these Tuesday.

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu who presided, announce the outcome of the closed door section on the resumption of plenary.

The Senate President sympathize with the ordinary people of Nigeria on the hardships they are going through.

He promised that the senate will engage with the Federal Government to find sustainable ways to improve the welfare of Nigerians. He further ask government to immediately start implementing palliative measures contained in the 2016 appropriation act passed by the National Assembly.

The senate devoted the report on its committee on judiciary human rights and legal matters on the controversial anti-social media bill.

Senator David Umaru ask the senate to withdraw the bill for an act to prohibit rebellious petitions and other matters connected.
