BREAKING: One of Kidnapped Chibok Girls Found in Sambisa Forest
Activists have reported finding one of the 276 missing Chibok girls kidnapped at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok 2 years and 34 days ago. She is the first real clue to the question on whether any of the girls is alive or not since they were abducted by Boko Haram militants.
She was found by a vigilante group on Tuesday in the Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon, the activists said. This story has also been confirmed by the chairman of the Chibokgirls Parents Community Group. This follows the donation of relieve materials by the Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, to the Chibok Girls and Buni Yadi Boys Parents yesterday.
President Buhari vowed during last week Regional Security Summit in Abuja to do all possible to rescue the girls.
Nigerian army, through its public relation officer, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, stated that girl’s name is actually, Falmata Mbalala, and was among the rescued persons by Nigerian troops at Baale near Damboa.
“Preliminary investigation shows that she is indeed one of the abducted Chibok School girls.”
Usman had earlier said only soldiers rescued the teenager. Chibok community leaders and activists maintained her name was Amina Ali. The spokesman said Ali was found with a four-month-old baby girl named Safiya. “Both the suspected Boko Haram terrorist and the nursing mother have been taken to Maiduguri for further medical attention and screening,” he added.

Ali was taken to her home town of Mbalala, near Chibok, where she was briefly reunited with her mother and identified by the school’s vice-principal.
