National Orientation Agency (NOA) Congratulates Nigerians For Proving 2015 Doom Prediction Wrong
As Nigerians celebrate the New Year, the Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Omeri congratulates all Nigerians for proving wrong the predictions of doom and disintegration against the country in 2015 and remaining one strong, united and indivisible nation under God.
The NOA Director General also urges continued cohesion, peace and support for government by Nigerians for greater national development in the year 2016.
Omeri calls on all Nigerians to resolve to make 2016 a remarkable year in which all forms of vices and negative orientation will be replaced with the right attitudes.
In his words: “2016 must be for us a year in which all tribal, religious and primordial sentiments will be situated within our national interests and aspirations so that they become driving forces for our collective advancement and nothing to the contrary.
“I urge Nigerians to continue to have faith in government and the armed forces, knowing that the success of government policies, particularly in the areas of the economy, security and social welfare, cannot be realized without the confidence and cooperation of the citizenry. I am confident that, with the successes we recorded in 2015 as a nation – in elections, the war against insurgency and the fight against corruption – better days await Nigerians in 2016. The present administration is committed to providing adequate security for lives and property as well as providing basic infrastructure to enhance the living conditions of Nigerians. Let us therefore continue to pray for divine guidance for our leaders.”
