Governor Almakura Advocates For Expansion Of The Keffi-Abuja Expressway

In view of hardship being face by motorists plying the Keffi-Abuja Road, Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Almakura has appealed to the Federal Government to expand the road, especially around Mararaba-Nyanya axis to ease gridlock. Governor Almakura made the appealed while on an inspection to Karu, near Abuja.

The Keffi-Abuja road is the only road linking most northern and eastern part of the country to the nation’s capital Abuja. Governor Almakura said with the persistence on the road there is the need for the Federal Government to attention on the road so that to ease the plight of the motorist.

He noted that inspite of the State Government efforts to decongest the road by demolition of all night shift shops and ban on trading along the highway it yielded little results as traffic persist.

On environmental sanitation in karu area, Governor Almakura said already the state government is engaging private sector in the area of waste management in order to keep clean.
