FRSC Steps Up Operations To Reduce Road Crashes

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following recent road crashes involving trailers that claimed lives and properties, FRSC says it has stepped up activities to prevent re-occurence

The Corp Marshall says Operation Scorpion, an exercise to check excesses of trailers and other articulated vehicle drivers was a success as over 2000 offenders were arrested. He noted that they have identified four critical areas;standard, enforcement, institutional capacity building and legal frame work and that all the stakeholders must play their part

The corp marshall also retreated that Sept 1st this year remains enforcement date for spped-limiters in commercial vehicles

Other plans he said are, extension of road safety check like  medical check on drivers  and establishment of traffic radio.
