Ministerial Meeting on Security in Nigeria Attracts Stakeholders From Thirteen Countries

The need to effectively address the sources of funding and supply of weapons to Boko Haram insurgents through greater cooperation of the International Community took centre stage at the 3rd Ministerial Meeting on Security in Nigeria. The meeting held in Abuja attracted stakeholders on Security from thirteen Countries across the globe.
The meeting provided opportunity to undertake a comprehensive and critical review of the implementation of the outcome of the Initiatives aimed at combating the insurgency and support to victims. Stakeholders also roll support for the implementation of Multi-dimensional measures adopted by Nigerian Government to eradicate poverty and create an all inclusive government.
The meeting underscored critical importance of regional cooperation and intelligence sharing, as well as creating a secured environment for civilian population in a conflict affected area.
