Protest at Ministry of Finance

The aggrieved workers of the Ministry of Finance had on Wednesday placed the Ministry under lock and key, protesting poor welfare. Normal business in the office was disrupted as they workers waited for the return of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the economy Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who was away at the Federal Executive Council meeting, but on arrival, the Minister joined the protesting workers in the chorus of Solidarity songs.
Impressed by the Minister’s show of sportsmanship, the aggrieved workers proceeded for a meeting with the Minister.
She assured them that all their grievances will be addressed before the meeting moved into closed door meeting. The Minister said it was a family problem and will be resolved internally with no Victor or Vanquish.
