MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE ON EPA
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga says the Federal Government took a position to canvass the review of the European economic partnership agreement, EPA to protect the interest of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
Speaking to NTA news24 on the suspension of the signing of the EPA Agreement, the minister says Nigeria drew attention of the ECOWAS heads of states and government to the unfavourably balance of the agreement to member nations as producers of primary products.
As result the ECOWAS heads of states and government appointed four nations to review the agreement earlier meant to operate at a 75 to 25% in favor of Europe.
