MINISTER INAUGURATES LG SCHEME OF SERVICE

Due to the hues and cries over the inefficiency of local Governments in the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people, the federal government is taking further step to change the trend.

To this end, a 13 member presidential committee on the review of the local government service scheme has been inaugurated.

Timothy Yusuf reports that the current scheme of service for local governments was produced in 2006.
