Nine African Nations Hold Confab on Niger River Basin

Nine member African Nations sharing the active watershed on the River Niger under the aegis of Niger Basin Authority are meeting in Abuja to proffer solutions to the challenges confronting members in the implementation of investment projects of the Niger Basin. Nigeria’s Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe noted thematic areas of concern which include non or delayed payment of contributory funds to run the Authority.
