The organisers said the launch of Educational Empowerment for Nigerian Children was born out of the need to give back to the society. They observed that many indigent children of school age are roaming the streets pointing out the trend must be checked through good educational foundation to these children.
The group said they have selected an average of sixteen pupils from each of the six area councils in the FCT as a Pilot project. At an interactive session on criteria and sustainability of the programme, they revealed that the criterion include orphans, widows and the children from poor homes. On sustainability, they said they are partnering NGO’s that are ready to invest in the lives of children. The launch of the Educational Empowerment of Nigerian Children is expected to attract dignitaries from across Nigeria.
