New Trend on Aviation Law

Two point three billion people were said to be transported by air in 2009 with a projection of a 10 percent increase by 2015. This makes the aviation sector one of the most dynamic sectors of the world economy thereby encouraging fast developing trends. But, of more concern are the safety and security threats confronting the sector. To move with these concerns and development, adequate laws are needed both at national and international levels. It is the area that legal experts brought together by the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies said need to be focused on and addresses if Nigeria must move with the world in the aviation industry.

The roundtable was also used to evaluate the bill currently before the National Assembly.
