The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, says it has concluded arrangements to introduce family pilgrimage batch come July this year. The Executive Secretary of the Commission John Kennedy Opara disclosed this in Abuja when he was presented with an award for making Christian Pilgrimage Popular in Nigeria. According to the Executive Secretary, the third batch of Pilgrimage known as Family Pilgrimage is to allow families to visit the Holy Land as units thus affecting positively the basics of society.
Presenting the award of excellency to the Executive Secretary Bishop Amen Howard, the Geneva based Centre for African-Israeli Development, a non-governmental organisation said Mr. John Kenndey Opara had done a lot by popularising Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria and beyond.
John Kennedy Opara who said he dedicated the award to God noted that the whole essence of humanity is to influence one another positively. The award tagged “Champion of Above & Beyond” the organizers say is in recognition of Opara’s efforts to have broken the barriers of disunity among Nigerian Christian Pilgrims.
