Update on Jobs for Sale Case

Allegations of recruitment malpractice at the National Examinations Council include hiring of unqualified personnel as well as favouring candidates for certain geo-political zones to the detriment of  applicants from other parts of the country. The Chief Executive of the National Examination Council, Professor Promise Okpile, denied the allegations by the council.

Though the Federal Character Commission attests that the National Examination Council has indeed satisfied due process in recruitments, the Senate joint committee has asked for further proof. The Council has been directed to present a detailed report on its recruitment exercises from 2010 till date.

Still at the hearing, the Federal Road Safety Corps through it’s corps marshall admitted that one of it’s junior staff was the mastermind behind the job for sale saga at the corps. He revealed that the culprit had been prosecuted.
