Minister of state for defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle says Nigeria is exploring latest technologies to combat insecurity.
The minister made the remark when he led Nigeria’s delegation to the second edition of the world defence exhibition which commenced from 4th of February 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The minister further said nigeria’s objective of participating in the event is to explore latest technologies in military hardware that would eventually be acquired for the country as well as create ways of collaborating with key defence stakeholders, leaders and companies to enhance the nation’s security structure in line with president bola tinubu’s agenda on security.
The Nigerian delegation to the exhibition comprises permanent secretary, ministry of defence, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Director-General, Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) Major General Effiong Edet and exhibitors from Nigeria.
