Security agencies should dominate ungoverned space in parts of the country to combat criminal activities and deploy technology as a force multiplier in fighting crime.
These were some of the recommendations at the end of the national security course on psychological operations and strategic communication, focusing on winning the hearts and minds of civilians for national cohesion organized by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
The primary goal of the course was to enhance the understanding of senior government officials and security stakeholders in the intricacies of non-kinetic approaches and applications.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mallam Idris Mohammed, was represented by the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu. The DG provided a comprehensive blueprint on the ministry’s non-kinetic approach to national security.
The platform also recommends proper regulation of social media information to guide against spread of fake news and advocate enhance synergy between security agencies and his communities for national cohesion.
