Governor Otu Constitutes Committee to Revalidate Promotion of Civil Servants

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has approved the Revalidation of promotions and appointments of public servants in the state.

This follows the constitution of a seven member committee to review all promotions and appointments made in the state within the last six months.

The committee is also to review other cases of irregular promotions and appointments made in the state.
A statement made public by the secretary to the state government Prof Anthony Owan-Enoh indicates that the committee has a former Head of service Dr. Mary-Theresa Ikwen as chairman and a permanent secretary Barr.Orok Okon as secretary Other members of the committee are; Two Representatives from the NLC and TUC, Representative of the Head of service and Representative of the state Auditor General.

Former Permanent secretary -Takon Takon and permanent secretary office of the secretary to the state government Dr.Innocent Eteng are also members of the committee.
