President Buhari has congratulated the winner of the 2023 presidential elections, Bola Tinubu, describing him as the best man for the job.
In a statement, President Buhari also pledges to ensure orderly handover of power, hailing the just-concluded election as Africa’s biggest democratic process but acknowledging some of the technical hitches and other areas that need work to bring further transparency and credibility to the voting procedure.
However, the President adds, none of the issues registered represent a challenge to the free and fair nature of the elections. Calling on all candidates to remember the peace accord, President Buhari rounds off with a resounding call to not undermine the credibility of the elections.
