Update on Muna Garage Twin Bomb Blasts at Jere, Borno State

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have confirmed 3 persons dead in twin bomb blasts that occurred around Muna Garage in Jere local government area of Borno state.

NEMA said that its emergency response teams confirmed that 2 female PBIED carriers detonated their explosives within 5 minutes interval at Muna Dalti settlement yesterday evening, 6 April 2019.

“As a result, 3 persons died including the 2 bombers (total of 5 dead) while close to 41 others sustained various degrees of injuries .

The injured are currently receiving medical treatment at General Hospital Maiduguri.” Information Officer, North-East of the agency, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said this in a statement.
