March 9 elections: FRSC to deploy 70 personnel in Ore
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ore Unit Command in Ondo State, says it will deplore no fewer than 70 personnel, three patrol vehicles and one ambulance for the March 9 polls.
Mr. Philip Ozonnandi, the Unit Commander, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ore that the deployment was to ensure total compliance of no movement of vehicles from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Ozonnandi said that vehicular movement would be restricted on the Shagamu-Ore-Benin expressway and other roads in and around Ore.
“Although Ondo is only taking part in State House of Assembly elections, we are fully set and will deplore over 70 personnel, three patrol vehicles, and one ambulance.
“Only INEC accredited vehicles, media vehicles, and police patrol vehicles will be allowed to ply the roads.
“We will ensure total compliance of no movement of vehicles from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm,’’ he said.
The FRSC boss urged motorists to comply with the restriction of movement.
