Fed. University Birnin Kebbi Appoints Deputy Vice Chancellor
The Governing Council of the Federal University, Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), has approved the appointment of Prof. Kasimu Shehu, as Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university.
This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Acting Head, Information and Public Relations of the University, Malam Jamilu Magaji.
Magaji said the appointment, which is for a term of two years and subject to renewal for another term, took effect from Sept. 27.
According to him, the Governing Council of the Federal University Birnin-Kebbi (FUBK) at its 12th meeting held on Sept. 27, considered the recommendation of the Senate and approved the appointment of Prof. Kasimu Shehu, as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University.
According to the statement, Shehu was born on Nov. 2, 1967 in Kuka town of Kalgo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, and until his appointment, he was the Director, Student’s Industrial Working Experience Scheme (SIWES) of the university.(NAN)
