Lalong Assures Corps Members Of Safety
Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau on Thursday assured corps members posted to the state of their safety during the service year.
Lalong gave the assurance in Mangu, at the official swearing-in ceremony of the 2018 batch ‘B’ corps members posted to Plateau.
The governor, who was represented by Mr. Victor Lapang, youths and sports development commissioner, said that government was working in collaboration with security agencies to ensure adequate protection for the corps members.
He advised the corps members to respect the norms and culture of their host communities, and cautioned them against looking down on people in rural communities they might be posted to.
Lalong cautioned them against acts that could be detrimental to the objectives of the service and advised them to shun social vices that could compromise their integrity. (NAN)
