Nigerian Society of Neonatal Medicine Holds Summit in Kebbi

Health care professionals involved in care of newborn from all over the country and beyond have arrived in Birnin Kebbi for the 11th Scientific meeting of the Organisation.

The meeting, which is sponsored by the Kebbi State government with support from Unicef Nigeria and Pathfinder includes 5days of training health workers in Kebbi State on essential newborn care and various methods of respiration.

Top academicians attending include NISOMN President, Prof Chinyere Ezeaka, Prof Angela Okolo, Prof Ogala, President of Paediatric association of Nigeria, Prof Dr Augustine Omoigberale and Prof M. Mustapha. Also in Kebbi for vital practical training and presentations are -Dr Badr Chaban, Imperial College, Dr Sanja Zivanovic, Oxford University and Dr Kalu Ogbureke, Frimley Park UK.

The guests were received and hosted to lunch by their colleague and chief host H.E. Dr Zainab Bagudu after which the pre conference workshop planning meeting began. Over 150 professionals will grace the summit holds from 25th -29th June 2018 across various centers in the state including Jega, Argungu and Danko Wasagu.
