Yobe Development Agency Approves 116 Micro Projects
Yobe Agency for Community and Social Development, has approved 116 micro projects across the state from 2016 to date, according to the General Manager, Alhaji Goni Babagana.
Babagana made this known while briefing newsmen in Damaturu on the agency’s achievements.
He said that said of the 116 projects, 74 have been completed, 23 were ongoing while 19 had yet to commence.
According to him, the projects are valued at N320.67 million.
He said that Education sector projects gulped N84.96 million while N35.22 million was spent on Environment and Natural Resources projects with Health projects consuming N43.37 million.
He said that N23.82 million was earmarked for rural electrification, N8.23 million for socio-economic projects, N36.1 million for Transport and N88.94 million for water supply.
According to him, the 23 ongoing micro projects are valued at N89 million, while the outstanding 19 projects will cost N61.42 million.
Babagana noted that the major objective of the CSD was to provide accessibility to basic social services in communities. (NAN)
