Commissioner expresses satisfaction with APC LG congress in Kano state

The Kano State Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of APC local government congress in the state.

He made the remark while speaking with newsmen shortly after he monitored the exercise in some local government areas within Kano metropolis on Saturday.

“The congress is going on smoothly and peacefully as most of the local governments have almost completed the election.

“Iam particularly impressed with the entire process as what we had seen was transparent, free and fair, “ he said.

He commended the delegates and other party members for exhibiting maturity and patience during the exercise across the 44 Local Government Areas.

“We have not heard about any violence or disagreement on the exercise across the State.

“Only bonefide members of the APC are participating in the congress that is it is peaceful.

He commended the committee charged with the responsibility of conducting the exercise for the good arrangement they made which ensured the success of the exercise.

A NAN Correspondent, who monitored the exercise in Tarauni, Municipal and Gwale local government areas, reports that the congress was generally peace as there was no report of violence from any local government area.

The congress was conducted in most of the local government areas through concensus arrangement. (NAN)
