Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam has today inspected construction work at the 750-seat capacity multi-purpose hall, based inside of Government House Damaturu, one of the many legacy projects being undertaken by his administration.

Construction work at the site is almost complete.

The governor, who expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work, said the hall will be furnished and provided with the necessary audio-visual and projection equipment before the end of the first quarter of 2018.

“This is one of the areas where we depart from previous administrations in the state. Our administration places premium on quality. All our projects must be executed at optimal quality levels and there must be value for government money expended. This hall is one of such quality projects and it is also one of our legacy projects. I am sure this will compete with any of its type anywhere in the country”, the governor said.

H.E Gov. Gaidam said the hall will be put to use as soon as it is furnished, observing that for many years to come, the state government can comfortably host public events with people and dignitaries from both within and outside the state.

The governor was conducted round the facility by the Commissioner of Housing Alhaji Bukar Dauda, whose ministry is supervising the project, and by the Managing Director of the contracting firm KLM Associated Ltd, Engr. Lawan Mustapha Mala. “I commend the ministry for giving a close marking on this project and the contractor for a job well done. I urge the contractor to maintain this standard going forward”, he said.
