President Buhari Leaves For Abidjan

President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja for Abidjan, cote d’ivoire on a three day visit. the president accompanied by an APC chieftain bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the governors of Bauchi and Akwa ibom state was seen off at the airport by the minister of the FCT and other senior government officials.while in Abidjan, president Buhari is expected to join about one hundred other heads of state at 5th EU-African union summit beginning on wednesday. the president is to use occasion to reiterate Nigerians readiness to work with other African and European leaders to address the challenges affecting both continent for sustainable peace and security. the summit has as its theme investing in the youth for a sustainable development. during the visit president Buhari is scheduled to meet other leaders for talks on areas of common interest.

President Muhammadu Buhari has launched a policy framework and national action plan for preventing and countering violent extremism. The president also directed that all mdas to begin the implementation of the action plan.
