Group Urges Government To Focus On Education

Members of the Nigerian Academy of Education has called on government at all level to focus on education as the key to growth and development of the country. The group which was led by her President, Prof. Elizabeth Eke made this known while on a courtesy visit to NTA DG and his management at the headquarters, Abuja

The group said, the key to the growth and development of the country is education. They stated that they “embark on a project called adopt a school for easy development”. The President of the group decried the poor state of education in the country and urged individuals and private establishments to be involved in educational development through building projects, provision of books, libraries, boreholes etc.

The Exec. Director Administration &Training, Dr. Steve Egbo who represented the Director General in his remarks expressed the Authority’s appreciation to the group for it’s laudable and noble initiatives aimed at raising the standard of education and encourage more investments in education. He said the Authority will continue to partner with them and such organizations that are geared towards building a better society.
