Gov. Bagudu Tasks Corps Members on Selfless Service
The Kebbi Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, has tasked corps members to utilize the national service year in the state to offer selfless service and to lay foundation for their future roles as employers of labour.
He gave the charge on Friday at the swearing-in of 1,838 Corps members for the 2017 batch ‘A’ stream II Corps members at the permanent NYSC orientation camp in Dakingari,Suru local government area.
Bagudu,the, was represented by chief of staff in the government house,Suleiman Argungu, described the NYSC scheme as the beacon of hope for the country’s development.
He advised the Corp members to make maximum use of the privilege during the orientation and service year especially on skills acquisition and entrepreneurship training that would enable them be self-reliant and employers of labour.
Bagudu assured Corps members of adequate security during their stay in the state.
The state NYSC coordinator, Alhaji Lawal Tarawa commended the state government for supporting the scheme especially welfare and safety of Corps members during the orientation exercise.(NAN)
