Acting President Meets Perm Secretaries
The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has enjoined Nigerians to strive towards making the difference in their chosen career to create a better nation.

He made the call at a meeting with senior officials of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAS) in Abuja on the case of doing business in the country.

DG NTA on Digital Capacity Building Centre
Director General, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Yakubu Ibn Mohammed has described the establishment of digital capacity building centre in NTA premises by the National Information Technology Development Agency, NTIDA as key to achieving the needed improvement in the sector. He said this during the commissioning of the centre.

Ex Prisoners Urge Nigeria China Exchange Agreement
Nigerians that have served sentences in Chinese prisons have called on government to enter into an agreement with the Chinese government to transfer Nigerians to serve their sentences.

They made the plea under the auspices of the Black African Reorentation and Development Organisation,(BARADO) during a peaceful rally at the National Assembly.

FG on Abandoned Maritime University
Three years after, academic activities were billed to take off at the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoo, in Delta State; the institution has remained abandoned with its gate under lock and key. Elohor Agbra who visited the sites at Kurutie and Okerenko said the residents are however happy at the Federal Government’s renewed interest towards making it a world class citadel of learning.

FG to Partner States on Production of Staple
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture is to assist state governments in the area of policy and capacity building towards improving their agricultural output to meet the country’s demand.

The ministry of is also work with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and National Assembly to institutionalize the various interventions that are aimed at moving agriculture forward in a sustainable way.

Media Launch of Made- in Nigeria-Goods
The Federal Government restated its desire to Champion the patronage of Made in Nigeria Goods as part of policies designed to grow the economy. Information and Culture Minister, Lai Mohammed stated this at the launch of made in Nigeria goods in Abuja.

Minister of Water Empowerment
The Federal Government says it is targeting thousands of youths for empowerment under the graduate/youth empowerment scheme of the ministry of water resources.

Water Resources Minister, Suleiman Adamu said this at the launching of the operational guidelines for the scheme.

Mrs Buhari Lays Foundation Stone of Maternity in Daura
The wife of the President Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has enjoined well meaning Nigerians and other nongovernmental organizations to extend the virtues of goodwill and philanthropism in supporting women and other less privileged people towards building a healthier and a better society.

Mrs Buhari stated this at the foundation lying ceremony of a children and maternity centre at the Daura General Hospital in Katsina State.

NAF on Personnel Welfare
The Nigerian Air Force has re-stated its commitment towards addressing housing deficit in its base across the country as a way of improving welfare of its personnel enhanced performances.

This was at the inauguration of married and transit officer’s quarters by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar at the NAF base, Abuja.

Ngige to Submit Minimum Wage Report FEC
The Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige says, all is set for the report of the recommendation on the national minimum wage and palliative to be submitted to the Federal Executive Council for deliberation at the next FEC meeting.

Speaker Addresses Youth Parliament
Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara says, the “not too young to run” bill, which has passed second reading at the house of representatives is an indication that the national assembly is committed to enacting laws that will engender more youth participation in governance.

He said this at the second sitting and third session of the Nigerian Youth Parliament in Abuja.
