Private Polytechnics In Nigeria Seeks TETFUND and State Government Assistance

Joshua Kigbu, Akwanga: Polytechnics students and other higher institutions in Nigeria are advised to shun examination malpractice, drug abuse, cultism, indecent dressing and other vices that are capable of threatening their academic pursuits.

The founder of Nacabs polytechnic Akwanga in Nasarawa state Mr Mandy Abuluya gave the warning during the fifth matriculation ceremony of the institution in Akwanga.

Mr. Abuluya while congratulating the newly admitted students of the institution, urge them to be of good conduct and brace up to face their studies seriously.

NACABS founder appealed to the federal government to include private Tertiary institutions in Tetfund while the State Government should grant aid to the private institutions monthly.

In his remarks, the Rector Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga Timothy Audu Makori said the institution admitted about three hundred students into eight accredited courses at National Diploma programmes.

The Rector says the institution will continue to provide the necessary infrastructure and support.
