Buhari Appoints NEXIM Management

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Abubakar Abba Bello as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Export Import Bank NEXIM.

Also appointed, are Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello as Executive Director, Corporate Services and Stella Okotete as Executive Director Business Development.

 

IGP on Fighting Corruption

Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris says the force has put up mechanisms to check corruption within its system.

This is contained in the IGP’s messages to the official launch of Police partnership with a non-governmental organization “Corruption Not in My Country Project” Campaign.

 

Buhari Challenges Ministry on Mining Development

President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development to redouble efforts at revitalizing the nation’s mining industry for enhanced growth and development of the economy.

In a meeting with the Minister, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the president expressed delight over the approval of 150 million dollars by the World Bank in support of the mining sector which he described as a major breakthrough in the government’s drive towards re-launching the promising economic sector. Minister Challenges Builders on Building Collapse

Registered builders have been challenged to find a lasting solution to structural defects and collapse, which have assumed an alarming dimension.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Umaru Maza Maza as Chairman of the board of the Rural Electrification Agency.

In a statement, Director Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Bolaji Adebiyi said the appointment comes along side Mrs. Damilola Agunbiyi, as Managing Director.

Workshop on Implanting Counter Terrorism Strategy

The National Security Adviser in collaboration with Yobe State Government is holding a sensitization workshop on Implementation of National Counter Terrorism Strategy for Adamawa, Taraba and Yobe States.

The Security Adviser, General Babagana Munguno and Governor Ibrahim Geidam agreed that there must be synergy among stakeholders to consolidate on the successes by security forces against Boko Haram terrorists.
