Inspector General: The Need For A More Peaceful Niger Delta
The task of restoring peace to the Niger delta is a collective responsibility of all Nigerians. The inspector general of police Ibrahim Idris believes must be pursued without sentiments.
He stated this while playing host to members of the south-south zone of the national youth council of Nigeria.
One spectacular message from the youth to the inspector general police is that the menace caused by the youths ought to be corrected them.
This they say informed their special project tagged Niger delta youth peace dialogue.To realise their project they are adopting three measures of consultation, memorandum and dialogue. The inspector general of police Ibrahim Idris welcomed their initiative.
He assured on the support of the Nigerian police which he described as more people oriented in its policies and operations.
The IGP implored them to promptly report any act capable of breaching the peace of the society to the relevant authorities stressing that a stitch in time saves nine.
