Abuja Airport Shuts-down At Midnight Wednesday To Begin Rehabilitation
The runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport Abuja will shut down for rehabilitation by midnight of Wednesday march 8, 2017 not march 7 as circulated in some quarters.
This clarification comes through a press release from press and public affairs department of the federal ministry of transportation.
The public is hereby notified that the airport remains open for operations until the midnight of Wednesday, march 8 2017.

The press release also states that government has also concluded all arrangement for the complimentary transportation of passengers to and from Kaduna as soon as the Abuja airport shuts down operation.
For security reasons however, initial screening of passengers and luggages will be done at the Abuja airport, while the boarding screening will be done at the Kaduna airport. The minister of state aviation appeals for public understanding as the decision to shut down the Abuja airport is in the interest of all.
