#MDG: Gov. Bagudu Commissioned Hospital Equipment & Instruments

In a continued boost of the healthcare sector, the Kebbi state governor His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu today commissioned hospital equipment and instruments procured under the Millennium Development Goals and Local Government Scheme. The equipment have already been allocated across the most needy facilities across the 3 senatorial zones of the state.
Handing over the items, Kebbi state SDG Coordinator Dr Nasiru Ladan said the entire items were procured by MDG-LGS for a contract sum of for 275M in 2015. Some have been distributed already whilst those commissioned today will serve 10 health facilities. The intend include hospital beds and furniture, wheelchairs, screens, diagnostic kits, weighing scales, bed linen, etc.
H.E. Senator Atiku Bagudu received the items in the presence of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Barrister Abubakar Mallami S.A.N who is an indigene of the state. Also present were the Kebbi state health team leadership comprising commissioner health Hon Umar Usman Kambaza, SSA Health Dr Fatima Bunza, Permanent Secretary MOH Dr Atiku Kende, directors and state primary health care agency officials as well as Sole Administrators of some LG. The governor in turn handed the items to the health team and urged them to ensure equitable, judicious and fair distribution of the equipment as well as ensure they are used and maintained properly. His Excellency hinted that he will personally inspect the hospitals where they are allocated randomly within the next 28days
